Biography of Freedom Fighter Lala Lajpat Rai.

In today’s era, we live completely free, neither we are bound by any bondage nor there is any pressure, but was this possible before 1947. Not at all because before this we were not free to have this kind of freedom. And freedom has been given to us by big revolutionaries. One of those heroes is Lala Lajpat Rai who played a very important role in liberating the country, so let’s know about such a brave revolutionary –

Birth of Lala Lajpat Rai

Lala Lajpat Ray, a brave man who laid down his life for the country, was born on 28 January 1865 in Dhudike village, Punjab, India. His parents’ name was Shri Radhakrishna ji and Mrs. Gulab Devi. He belonged to a Sikh community. His father was a government teacher. In view of patriotism, he was also known as Punjab Keshari.

Early life and education

Lala Lajpat Rai’s early life and education both started from his native village. Educated from the Government Higher Secondary School of the village itself and being smart in studies since childhood, his parents enrolled him in the Government College of Lahore in 1880 to study law and from where he completed his law studies.

Carrer

After completing his law studies, he started advocacy in the cities of Rohtak, Hisar etc. of Haryana, but he did not feel like advocacy at all. During his advocacy, he reached the Mumbai session of Congress in 1885 to see this and only after seeing the dew session made up his mind to go into politics. And in the year 1888, when Ali Muhammad Bhim of Congress came to Punjab, many meetings with him and many other BS jumped into the political journey from this.

Politics –

By giving an effective speech in the session of the Indian National Congress in Allahabad, he attracted the people sitting there and his value in the Congress increased further. And gradually in this way he made a good place in the Congress. And played a very important role in making the Lahore session of Congress in 1892.

Contribution to independence

Seeing his contribution to the Congress party, he was made the President of the National Congress in 1920. And seeing his value thus increased, the British government started getting scared of him and tried to separate him from the Congress but not a single one of them went in front of him. And for this reason, the British government imprisoned him in Mandalay Jail from 1921 to 1923. Seeing them imprisoned, the public got furious and came out on the streets against the British government. Then forcibly the British government released them.

To unite the nationwide forces, he organized the Hindu Mahasabha in Calcutta in the year 1925, where his eloquent speech inspired many Hindus to take part in the country’s freedom struggle. He asked the countrymen to adopt indigenous items. In 1905, the British government partitioned Bengal. Seeing this, the attainment of independence caused many flames and flared up and made up its mind to expel the British government from the country.

Simon Go Back and Tragic Death –

When the Simon Commission came to India in 1928 to talk about it, Lala Lajpat Rai gathered the entire hot party and opposed it completely. Seeing this protest, the British police personnel lathi-charged them. And one of the sticks hit Lala Lajpat Rai on the head. Lala ji’s statement was – every stick lying on my body will act as a nail in the coffin of the British Empire. And on November 17, 1928, this brave son of Mother Bharati died due to the head injury that could not be corrected.
