South Korea’s leading car maker Hyundai has been investing a lot in the SUV segment in the recent past. The company is constantly trying to establish its dominance in the SUV segment in India. Now the company is preparing to launch a small SUV. The name of this car has not been revealed yet, but it has been given the codename Hyundai AX1.
First look of the car shown in the teaser
Some time ago the company released the teaser of this car. The headlamp and taillamp of the car were seen in this teaser. Now new spy images of this car have come out in which almost production ready model of the car is visible. This mini SUV is going to come with the signature SUV design of the brand.
Projector headlamps have been given at the front of the car. LED DRLs have been integrated at the bottom of the bumper of the car. The triangular pattern has been used in the LED tail lamps. The turnaround indicator is designed like a single round lamp.
Tata HBX will compete
This mini SUV of Hyundai is going to compete with Tata HBX. The near production model (largely the final model) of the Tata HBX was showcased at the Auto Expo in early February.
The HBX model showcased at the Auto Expo was 90% production-ready (final model). This means, except for wider tyres, roof-rack and a few other parts, the final model (to be launched in the market) will be similar to the model showcased at the Auto Expo. This small SUV is the second model from Tata after the Altroz, which is based on the company’s new ALFA modular platform.
