Project cost
According to the report prepare by the Khadi and Village Industrie Commission on the business of making medicated ghee, the total cost of starting the business is Rs 4.80 lakh. According to the project report, the land should be one’s own to start the business. It will cost Rs 200,000 to build a 1000 square feet building shed. Whereas its equipment (Volumetric Ghrita Filling Machine, Bottle washing, drying machine etc.) will cost 180000 rupees. And the total capital expenditure was Rs.380000. And with Rs 105000 working capital, the total project cost was Rs 485000.
How much can be earned?
As per KVIC report, 40,000 kg of medicated ghee can be produced annually. Its total value can be Rs.1256200. On its 100% production, the projected sales will be Rs.1500000. So if all the expenses are deducted from this, then there can be an earning of Rs.234800.
KVIC has said that these figures are indicative and may vary from place to place. And if the investment on the building is transferred to rent, then the project cost will come down, and the profit will increase.
