Goddess Saraswati is worshiped on this auspicious day. Worshiping her, one gets the blessings of wisdom and knowledge of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge. Because on this auspicious day Mata Saraswati was born. So let’s know about this year’s Basant Panchami –
According to the Hindu calendar, Basant Panchami is celebrated every year on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Magha month. Which is now 5th February 2022 day on Saturday.
Basant Panchami is also known as Shri Panchami. From this day the spring season begins and according to mythology, the Hindu New Year begins from Basant Panchami, from this day you can start any new work without looking at the vastu defects. On this day, small children in the family are also recognized for holding a book and pen for the first time. This day is considered most auspicious to start learning.
Auspicious time of Basant Panchami:
The Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Magh month will start from 03:47 am on Saturday, 5th February, which will continue till 03:46 am the next day, Sunday, 6th February. Basant Panchami is worshiped after sunrise and before noon.
Worship Method:
Get up early in the morning and wear yellow clothes after retiring from bath etc. First of all worship the Kalash by decorating the temple of Maa Saraswati. Afterwards worship the Navagrahas and then worship Maa Saraswati. Then, remembering Maa Saraswati and praying with all your heart and wishing for the good wisdom of your children, family members etc. Then offer the items of adornment to the goddess. And offer white clothes to the mother. Also, offer prasad made of kheer or milk to Goddess Saraswati.
Importance –
This day is considered as the birthday of Maa Saraswati. And at the same time the beginning of the spring season also marks the beginning of a new year in a way. This day is considered to be a good day for the beginning of education. Any new work can be started on this day.
