Pastel colored murals are found in the rooms of this palace. The rooms of the fort are painted turquoise, green and white.
This fort was built by Maharana Kumbha. The great ruler Maharana Pratap was also born in this fort. It is said that after the battle of Haldi Ghati, Maharana Pratap stayed in this fort for a long time. Maharana Sanga’s childhood was also spent in this fort.
