Story of Mother Brahmacharini

Mother Brahmacharini was born in the Himalaya house as a daughter and did severe penance to get Lord Shankar as her husband by the teachings of Narad ji. Due to this difficult penance, she was known as Brahmacharini. For a thousand years, he spent only eating fruits and flowers and for a hundred years he lived only on the ground and subsistence on vegetables. Keep a strict fast for a few days and suffer severe rain and sunshine under the open sky. For three thousand years, she ate broken bilva leaves and worshiped Lord Shiva. After this, he also stopped eating dried bilva leaves. For several thousand years she did penance by remaining waterless and starving.

Due to hard penance, the body of the goddess became completely emaciated. The deities, rishis, siddhas, sages all described the penance of Brahmacharini as an unprecedented virtuous act, appreciated and said – O Goddess, till date no one has done such harsh penance.
